Time Zone: The usual time zone applying to Slovakia is Central European Time (CET), during summer it is Central European Summer Time (CEST).
Climate
There are big temperature differences in Slovakia, in winter the temperature is -15°C and in the summer it is +30°C, so in the winter you can play ice-hockey on frozen lakes and in the summer you can sunbathe, swim or sail in the same places.
Language
Traffic signs are international. In the south of Slovakia, people often use the Hungarian language, so signs and notices are bilingual, i.e. in Slovak and Hungarian. Most people there speak both languages.
